RENUMERATION AND BENEFITS
Teachersand researchers
1.Officially budgeted positions will be offered.
2.Highly competitive renumeration, settlement allowance and research support funding will be provided. For scarcely needed or outstanding young scholars, benefits will be negotiated on a case-by-case basis, including settlement allowance and research support funding, and priority will be given to laboratory construction, etc.
3.Selected candidates will enjoy bonus on scientific research achievements and projects according to university and school policies.
4.The university offers special positions under “Yuelu Scholar Initiative” with tailored allowance.
5.Candidates who are selected for national talent projects and those who are particularly outstanding are entitled to various kinds of allowances supported by the Alumni Fund.
6.Multilayered and all-round support will be provided to the selected candidates, such as “Young Teacher Supporting Project” and “Outstanding New Teacher Award”, all aimed at nurturing young talents. Candidates with strong comprehensive ability are invited to apply.

Postdocresearchers
1.Selected applicants can enjoy an annual renumerationofno less thanRMB 470,000 (not including college-level funding and supervisor’s rewards). The university also provides unlimited scientific research bonus for high-quality research accomplishments and S&T achievements transformation.
2.Changsha municipal government provides living subsidy and housing subsidy of RMB 130,000 to 200,000 (according to policy).
3.Postdoctoral Scholars will be hired as assistant research fellow, and can be promoted to associate research scientist through an independent track. Postdoctoral scholars will be able to apply for officially budgeted teaching and research positions, with an advantage over other candidates of similar conditions in future recruitment.

ABOUT HUNAN UNIVERSITY
Hunan University (HNU) is situated in Changsha, a renowned historical and cultural city. It is adjacent to the rippling Xiangjiang River on its front and picturesque Yuelu Mountain at its back. It is reputed as an "Ancient Millenarian Academy and Famous Centennial University". HNU has been designated as a state key university and listed under the "Project 211" "Project 985" and “Project Double First-Class”.Hunan University is ranked 168th globally byU.S. Newsand 12th among universities in China’s World First-Class University Initiative.Chinese President Xi Jinping inspected HNU on September 17th, 2020. He spoke highly of personnel cultivation and cultural inheritance of the university, and put forward the critical proposition that Yuelu Academy is the origin of the ideological line “Seeking Truth from Facts” of the Party.
HNU has 27 colleges and schools. The professional disciplines cover eleven subject categories: philosophy, economics, law, education, literature, history, science, engineering, management, medicine, and arts. A system of academic disciplines with a solid foundation of sciences, strong engineering strength, featured humanistic and social science, emerging life and medical science, and active emerging interdisciplinary study has taken shape.
HNU has a staff of more than 4,300, of whom over 2,300 are full-time teachers. There are 21 members of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the Chinese Academy of Engineering (working in full-time or part-time form); 78 candidates of the state’s talents programs; 27 winners of the National Science Foundation for Distinguished Young Scholars; 37 winners of the National Science Foundation for Excellent Young Scholars; and, four winners of national outstanding teacher awards. In addition, HNU has six innovative research groups supported by the Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC), 11 national teaching groups and nine innovative teams recognized by the Ministry of Education and the State Administration of Science, Technology and Industry for National Defense.
HNU has six independent and collaborative state key laboratories and national key laboratories; two national engineering technology research centers; one state engineering research center; three national-level international cooperation centers; one key discipline laboratory of the State Administration of Science, Technology and Industry for National Defense; thirteen key laboratories and engineering research centers of the Ministry of Education; six discipline innovation and talent introduction bases in higher educational institutions under the Ministry of Education; and, one key laboratory of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism. Since the start of the 13th Five-year Plan period, HNU has 16 research projects winning the national science and technology awards and played a leading role in 11 of them; nine projects being granted with the humanities and social sciences awards of the Ministry of Education. HNU has been integrating production, education, and research, and made solid efforts in promoting commercialization of research findings. It has a national-level science and technology park, and was approved by the Ministry of Education as one of the first batch of university bases for commercialization of research findings and transfer of technologies, and a national demonstration university of intellectual property. The National Supercomputing Center in Changsha, the third one in China, is operated and managed by HNU. The new generation of supercomputer Tianhe in the center reaches a computing performance at world-class and domestically-leading 200P FLOPS. The center provides high-performance computing, big data, and AI services for more than 2,000 higher educational institutions, research institutions, governments, and enterprises.

Changsha, as an important comprehensive transportation hub nationwide, embodies multiple transportation channels, including subway, maglev train, urban rail, and air-rail intermodal transportation. It takes 1 hour to Wuhan, 2 hours to Guangzhou, 3 hours to Shenzhen, Hangzhou and Hong Kong, 4 hours to Shanghai, and 5 hours to Beijing and Kunming.
